How to Get a Library Card
Getting a library card is free and easy for Choctaw County residents.
What You’ll Need
- A valid photo ID
- Proof of current address
Children and teens must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
How to Sign Up
Visit the Ackerman Branch or Weir Branch during regular hours and complete a short application. You’ll receive your card right away.
What Your Card Includes
- Books, movies, and other materials
- Free access to digital resources
- Programs and services for all ages

Meeting Room
The Choctaw County Library System offers a meeting room at our Ackerman Branch for public, educational, and nonprofit use. Use of the meeting room is free, but all reservations must be requested in advance and approved in accordance with the Library’s Meeting Room Policy.
Meetings must be open to the public. Private social events, invitation-only gatherings, and commercial activities are not permitted.
Requests are reviewed by library staff. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.
